Hello!

Would you like to join us in Airthings on our mission to help the world breathe better air? We create IoT devices allowing people and businesses to monitor and take control of their indoor air quality whilst reducing their energy consumption. TIME Magazine even named our flagship product, the Wave Plus, one of the best inventions of 2019.

We are looking for a Product Manager to manage our B2B digital (software) product aimed at owners and operators of offices, schools and public buildings. You will be based in our office in Oslo, Norway.

Who are we looking for?

A passionate Product Manager! A Product Manager that can help us grow (and we are growing fast - “rocket” is a frequently used metaphor) whilst maintaining contact and empathy with our users.

Your responsibilities:

  • You will be the Product Manager in a team with several developers, data scientists and UX/UI designers.
  • Your main product responsibility will be for the Airthings for Business Dashboard and the corresponding mobile applications (iOS and Android).
  • You will lead the discovery, prioritisation and development of new features and products
  • You will gather insights, feedback and problems from our customers around the world and convert these into delightful digital product experiences.
  • Work closely with the Customer Success team, Marketing team and the Sales team to ensure the product roadmap is aligned and keep them informed and excited about the direction the product is heading.

We would expect you to:

  • Thrive in an international and culturally diverse working environment where things can change rapidly.
  • Be able to communicate and inspire in written and spoken English
  • Have at least 2 years experience working with product or project management, ideally with a SaaS based software solution or a data analysis product.
  • Experience with working closely with end customers to inform product decisions.
  • Ability to use data insights to inform product decisions.
  • Proven experience in managing a product roadmap, defining features, and prioritising a team backlog.
  • A technical background (ideally some knowledge of software development).

Who will you work with?

On a day to day basis, you will be working within a 8 person cross-functional team of developers, data scientists and designers. The team is responsible for the digital user experience for our SaaS subscription based B2B solution called "Airthings for Business". This comprises a web app dashboard and a native mobile application where users manage their Airthings indoor air quality (IAQ) devices, read off their measurements, analyse their data, manage their APIs and integrations, and generate air quality reports. Essentially the main user experience touch point for our business users.

The team has worked on a range of exciting projects, and recently launched the Airthings Virus Risk Indicator, a CO2 Alert to keep schools and offices safe and even made some QR Code magic. The work has recently won the prestigious CES innovation award!

How do we work with Product in Airthings?

You will also be the 12th member of our product team in Airthings. We are an international team consisting of Product people, Project people, and Designers responsible for a portfolio of digital and physical products targeting consumers, businesses and professionals. We have a strong dedication towards making products that are sustainable and that impact people and our planet in a positive way, so our team also includes a Sustainability Manager.

Product Management in Airthings is not inscribed in stone. We are all curious and continuously learning how to manage a very diverse product portfolio that includes both hardware and software. We hope you can bring your own ideas on how to manage “product”.

Our main product management tool has been Aha!, but we recently opted for ProductBoard. We are all still new to this tool, so you do not need to worry if you do not have experience with using it - neither have we! Our designers mostly work in Figma, we use Slack for communication (packed with bots and integrations to keep our finger on the product), Intercom helps us stay in touch with our customers, and we use Beamer to communicate product updates and capture NPS. There are actually more tools we use, but we do not want to bore you with a list of SaaS solutions. This should give you a flavour of how we work.
