Manager Planning

Are you looking for an exciting opportunity in a global company?  BW Offshore islooking for a Planning Manager to join our Operations Services team. This successful candidate will be leading the planning department, be involved in tender and front-end activities, oversee our fleets planning function and focus on management and allocation of planning resources. We are seeking a self-driven and motivated individual with a strong ownership towards the planning discipline.

The position will be located in Oslo and report to Vice President Operations Services.

Key tasks and responsibilities

• Responsible for all planning function in support of the Companys projects and operations
• Manage the planning Group, ensuring it has the required competence, guidance and resources to be able to effectively participate in planning function throughout project phases and operations
• Allocate planning resources, internal or external, to various bids and projects
• Responsible for all company planning philosophies, best practices, procedures, check-lists as well as Planning elements of the management system
• Cooperate closely with other departments to ensure adequate planning requirement is included in their scope
• Support communications related to planning matters to clients and suppliers
• Act as a mentor when needed
• Responsible for management of the companys resource allocation tool

Education

• Bachelors or masters degree in Engineering
• Long relevant experience may replace formal education

Experience

• Ideally 15+ years of planning experience within the offshore industry, including Project Control with specific focus on planning
• Previous FPSO and E & P experience is an advantage

Knowledge

• Extensive knowledge and experience in planning industrial EPC projects and construction only projects
• Familiarity with requirements of Oil & Gas sector major project delivery processes
• Proficiency with Primavera P6
• Understanding / experience with ERP systems (IFS) and eDMS systems is an advantage

• The position may require temporary assignments at project premises or other corporate offices
• The position may require travel and long working hours in peak periods
