We are looking for a System Engineer Automation SW to join the Group engineering team. The purpose of the position is to develop and maintain software/application for control systems. This position is located in Bodø, Norway and you will report to Mads Bergdal, Head of Technical Department.

Main tasks and responsibilities: 

• Define Software strategy and architecture for next-generation control system based on modules that may be developed internally or externally
• Improve software quality before delivering to customer through internal testing and simulation
• Do integration tests on overall system. Define test strategy. Develop / source simulator
• Collaborate closely with "user experience" to define the best customer experience
• Develop and aim for code standardization, introduce agile development methodology
• Development and maintenance of software/application Pentagon systems
• Conduct testing of Software on Pentagon disciplines FAT, HAT and SAT
• Synchronize with Lead Hydraulic, Lead electro HW and Lead Mech., and according to Sales Technical specification, to secure all functions in sold system, being covered
• Jobs are done based on action plan, together with a visual planning Kanban / Lean / Scrum

What you’ll need to succeed:

Ideally you have: 

• Bachelor/MSc. Automation, or equivalent practical line education
• 2-5 yr. Relevant programmer or software design experience, is preferred
• Ability to think visually while at the same time creating a plan for implementing the vision
• Good skills and interest in building and developing teams
• Experience from agile SW development is an advantage.
