We are building even further excellence and expertise in Powder Coatings technologies, and are seeking two additional R&D Senior Chemists in our Central R&D laboratory.

Are you the resource we are looking for?

Your workplace will be at our brand-new headquarters' state of the art R&D center, in Sandefjord, Norway. You will be part of an exciting workplace, where more than 200 great employees are attached to R&D-related tasks.

As our new R&D Chemist your main tasks will be:

Develop and maintain products and technologies within the powder coatings area, allowing Powder Segment to meet its strategic goals, ensuring and strengthening the position as market and technology leader.
Contribute professionally to increase internal competence and act as external representative for technology competence within the powder coatings field.

Duties and responsibilities

Act as a Technical Leader and/or a Project Manager in projects assigned by the R&D Management. This entails work internally; by planning, coordinating resources and communicating, and externally; with both customers and suppliers, in accordance to the R&D Plan and overall strategic directions.

Develop and maintain technology and products by planning, formulating, testing and evaluating coatings and raw materials in accordance to the scope of assigned projects. As well as, assure that our portfolio of products and brands are in line with the strategic needs.

Results from development and maintenance activities shall be systematically documented, analyzed and reported to ensure that commercial goals are met.

Be updated on technology advancement through internal and external contacts, suppliers, R&D institutions and other co-operation partners to bring new technology and know-how to the products and strengthen Jotun's position in the market."

Qualifications

This is a senior position, so we think you have a background similar to this:

MSc or PhD in organic, polymer or material chemistry.

Relevant work experience.
