Senior .NET Developer/Architect

StormGeo is looking for a senior developer to strengthen the global Weather Insight development team. 

Main responsibilities 

• Architect, develop and maintain web applications that our customers across the globe rely on every day 
• Work on the tools required to configure and deliver highly customized and personalized services 
• Cooperate with the products team and stakeholders to translate business requirements and data into quality software solutions 
• Evaluate and improve, migrate or replace existing solutions 
• Develop and maintain technical documentation 

Required skills and experience 

• Good and updated professional knowledge of web and API development (C#/.Net/ASP.Net/.Net Core) 
• Database design and usage (MySQL) 
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns 
• 3+ years of work experience 
• BSc or higher in computer science or similar 
• Good written and oral English language and communication skills 

Preferred skills and experience 

• Build, deployment and hosting (TeamCity, Octopus, IIS) 
• Experience with agile development methods  
• Knowledge of version control systems (Git) 
• Knowledge of front-end development frameworks (Angular, React) 
• Authentication, identity management 
• Cloud infrastructure

• Self-motivated and innovative, with strong problem-solving instincts and close attention to details 
• Able to learn existing systems as well as new technologies and frameworks  
• Able to work both in teams and independently 

Location 

Preferred office location is the company headquarters in Bergen, Norway. Working from the Oslo office is also an option. Working remote some of the time is possible.
