As a part of our long term strategy, and continued growth, we are on the look for someone passionate about Automation and Technology to join our team. The automation technician will become part of the creative competence, and development environment in our company.

The automation technician will lead and support step-change improvement and next generation manufacturing capabilities to drive improved speed to market, productivity, quality, and cost. All work is accomplished with focus on promoting EHS and sustainability.

Your Responsibilities and Assignments will include among others:

• Upgrade of existing technologies, through automation design and process control.
• Design and develop technologies/equipment to drive improvements and innovation.
• Identify new opportunities for automation within the manufacturing process.
• Monitor the effectiveness of developed technologies.
• Write and review technical documentation.
• Lead or assist as a key member on the evaluation of projects, in some cases as presenter.
• Perform scouting of suppliers and opportunities in the market.

Qualifications:

• Preferred, but not required, to have higher education in system development, automation, mechanics or mechatronics.
• Deep knowledge of different programmable controllers.
• Experience in usage of measurement instruments -different types of sensors-, and of actuators.
• Be systematic, structured, and organized. Detail-oriented personality.
• Fast learner, with the ability to grasp advanced technology quickly.
• Have a cooperative working attitude, and acceptance for a multicultural team environment.
• English language is required. Norwegian highly desirable.
