Are you our new QA?

We are looking for an experienced and structured QA Engineer to join our development team. We have several sports performance technology products, and the new QA Engineer will help strengthen our QA procedures and test efforts.

We would like you to have experience with the following:

• Relevant technical education
• 3+ years experience from QA and software product testing
• Experience with tools and technologies used in QA
• Relevant certifications or courses in Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering are welcomed, like ISTQB certification

We would like you to have experience with the following:

• Technology and IT
• Automation testing
• Have a good understanding and overview of software development processes, including agile methodologies
• Be a quick learner, and keep yourself up to date on new trends & technologies
• See areas of improvements and suggest suitable solutions

• English and Norwegian languages, both verbal and in writing
• Ability to work structured and systematically independently and in multidisciplinary teams

Your tasks will be:

• Responsibility for QA on a functional, integration, and system testing level
• Write and execute test assignments 
• Participate in the requirements gathering and drafting
• Have responsibility for executing testing on hardware and mobile devices
• Have an overview of all the existing open issues and help prioritize these
• Work closely with the development team and support team
• Be an advisor to the development team and the product owner
• Be a spokesperson for the user in the development team
• Take responsibility for user and process documentation
• Help the development team in grooming the backlog in collaboration with the product owner

Our technology stack is published on StackShare. We strive to use technologies that help us to create a better product, whether they are small improvements in existing technologies or an entirely new tool or technology. We also integrate with a lot of hardware SDKs in order to communicate with a wide array of sensor plates, cameras and launch monitors. 

We have a very experienced team. The most experienced team members each have 12-20 years of experience. A mentor will be appointed for the new team member, and the mentor will help, support and train the new team member.

The development team is organized as a scrum team, with three-week sprints. The tasks at hand are varied and can be anything from WPF and XAML to improve the video encoding speed or add support for a new launch monitor (just to name some examples from the last months). The work is interdisciplinary, using a wide range of technologies and tools. Creating user-friendly products is important to us, we have a UX team of two who focuses on the user experience and the look and feel of our products.
