Technical Application Owner

Among other tasks you will be working with

• Execute upgrades and improvement projects by leading external software vendors and coordinating service requests to infrastructure provider in Germany
• Lead the resolution of application incidents and problem tickets
• Coordinating tasks with service desk and external software vendors
• Monitor application behavior and initiate infrastructure requests towards external service provider
• Conduct daily application operations and implement appropriate processes for, IT service recovery, and incident management procedures
• Troubleshoot application errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems by assessing business impact caused by application issues
• Gather documentation and technical specifications from application vendor and then planning and implementing new software installation or upgrades.
• Install and upgrade application components and software
• Ensure compliance to IT security rules and improve efficiency of IT infrastructure usage
   

Experience we are looking for

• At least three years’ experience in 2nd or 3rd level application support or related functions
• Knowledge of networking protocols (OSI model, etc.)
• Good experience with Microsoft Windows Server OS server admin
• Knowledge of Citrix/XenApp virtual desktops and client application packaging
• Experience with MS Active Directory services
• Experience in managing applications with MS SQL databases
• Experience with data warehousing applications

It will also be easier for you to reach for the stars, if you have experience from international Financial Services, share enthusiasm for Unix/Linux, and can write .NET or German. 

Qualifications

• Formal education within IT, but relevant experience can compensate
• Microsoft certifications are preferred: MCSA Certifications – Windows Server 2012/2016/2019
• Norwegian and English fluently orally and in writing
