About the position

Raufoss is the global center for R&D activities within the Business Unit Couplings.
We are seeking a person with ambition and ability to improve and develop high quality products for our customers' needs and standards. This position/person shall be a resource & expert in project management and product areas. Ability to work independently, personal engagement and ability to take ownership of personal targets will be emphasized.

You will be responsible for:

•   Management and monitoring of R&D projects for internal and external customers (i.e. suppliers & OEMs, for new product development, serial product evolution, VAVE and innovation projects)
•   Cross-functional leadership of project engineers and project team members from other departments and functions
•   Provide technical support for serial products for KA-internal departments
•   Ensuring that projects have a cross-functional approach and to highlight every aspect that will influence progress, manning and economy (team diversity and technical content)

Requirements

Education:
•   Sc./BSc. in Engineering (e.g. Mechanical, Mechatronics, Materials)

Practical experience and knowledge:
•   Minimum 2-3 years technical experience in product development and/or production tasks
•   Knowledge about the product development process (APQP) and project management within Automotive
•   Knowledge about materials and manufacturing processes e.g. machining and/or injection molding
•   Automotive experience, background in Commercial Vehicles is a plus

Languages:
•   Basic knowledge of Norwegian or a Scandinavian language
•   English fluent, both oral and written skills

Project Management:
•   Microsoft Office, planning tools e.g. MS Project, PLM etc.
•   Understanding of Automotive Standards e.g. APQP, IATF 16949
•   Expertise in CAD system Siemens NX preferable
•   Experience from international projects and ability for business travels as required
