As our Controls Engineer in Field Service, you are responsible for providing professional service and support for Cavotec customers by performing Start-up commissioning, Site acceptance tests, troubleshooting, repairs and maintenance on Cavotec products.

Location: based around Bergen, with extensive travel. We have offices located in Stjørdal and Drammen/Oslo areas. Home office available.
Your key tasks will be:
- Commissioning, Testing and Supervising of new systems, in-house and at the customer sites
- Provide technical training to the customers
- Provide Remote Assistance service to colleagues and to End Users operating with the equipment
- Determine causes of operating errors and provide maintenance troubleshooting and problem solving in a timely and efficient manner, empowering customer satisfaction.
- Build customer relationship in a professional manner through solution-oriented communications and service, providing both on-site and telephone support.
- Coordinate with engineering, project management, spare parts and management groups to resolve escalated problems.
- Provide written service & expense reports to the Service Manager on all activities carried out on site and complete all required documentation in a timely manner.
- Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures at all times. Develop and maintain safe habits and practices with regard to safety requirements on site and report any breaches or concerns on health and safety matters to the Service Manager.
- Prepare quotes for on-site repair cost including bill of material.
- Contribute hitting company's service sales targets
Requirements:
- Engineering degree / high level Technical Education
- Hands-on experience in controls (PLC system, TIA Portal environment and Ignition SCADA).
- Knowledge in the use of the main Automation SW as Siemens S7 or similar
- Understanding of fieldbus systems and I/O equipment, e.g. Profibus and Profinet
- Knowledge of programming of frequency converter
- Fluent English
Expected experience:
- Ability and willingness to deal with complex systems and problems in structured manner
- Proven experience and positive attitude towards software development activities
- Ability to communicate and write technical reports
- Experience in working in a fast-paced environment
