Machinery Engineer

We are currently looking for a Machinery Engineer to our office in Stavanger, Norway. As a Machinery Engineer you will work in the Operations Technical Department and provide specialist expertise within the area of machinery system acting with the role as Vår Energi discipline and/or system technical responsible.

Tasks and responsibilities

• Responsibility to ensure the facilities integrity of machinery systems during each assets life cycle.

• Responsible for Vår Energi requirements and follow work processes related to facilities integrity of machinery systems, equipment strategy.

• Evaluate non conformance and deviations requests and give recommendations with respect to authority and company requirements. 

• Establish best practice within area, regularity and availability. 

• Fill assigned roles within technical authority/System owner and/or Facility Integrity Management System 

• Contribute to a continuously improvement of governing documents. 

• Ensure facilities profession are in compliance within machinery discipline.    

Education and experience:

• Bachelor or master degree within machinery engineering
• 2-5 years of experience experience

• Have in depth knowledge of Norwegian regulations and standards within the area.  

• Norwegian and English language skills

• Strong team player with proactive approach to the decision making process

• Problem solver

• Good communication and cooperation skills
