SENIOR STRUCTURAL ENGINEER

• Ensure that in all matters safety, economic and technical assessments are made, due diligence is observed, and initiative taken, to secure best-in-class results
• Discipline responsibility within primary, secondary and tertiary structural design in the project
• Responsibilities for all material handling applications, systems and strategies in the project
• Develop and verify solutions for crane/lifting/installation design and activities in the project
• Follow-up of the study/FEED contractor (and later the EPCI contractor) within the Structural discipline
• Manage the reporting into Company’s weight management system, review and co-ordinate comments to weight reports and develop a company weight margin and not to exceed weight.

Qualifications Requirements

• Minimum of bachelor’s degree in a structural/material/civil/construction engineering discipline
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience within the oil and gas industry, and extensive experience from offshore projects
• Knowledge of WINO discipline TRs within structure, architectural, marine operation, geotechnology (earth shake design), and material handling/cranes/marine lifting
• Experience and knowledge of offshore platform topside structural/architectural design
• Experience and competency with early studies, engineering, fabrication and installation
• Experience with 3D-modeling, structural modelling/verification and marine warranty survey
• Experience with use of NORSOK standards, familiar with ULS/FLS/ALS design conditions, preferably in combination with lifetime extension assessments
• Certified for offshore travel/work on the Norwegian shelf
• Fluency in English, oral and written
• Fluency in Norwegian advantageous

• Excellent communication and cooperation skills
