Operations Engineer, NO

Do you want to be our new Operations Engineer?

• Follow-up the liaison between functional support teams within the company on detailed technical issues
• Contribute to professional and effective operational interfaces towards Vega-, Nova-, Fenja- and Duva Operations (as well as potential future tie-backs and/or other Operated Assets) according to agreements and established interface manuals
• Work with planner, Dispatcher, Operation & Maintenance Manager and OIM in the scheduling of activities of all trade and service people
• Assist with planning and execution of turnaround/shutdown work
• Coordinate activities and resolutions to operational problems to ensure efficiency
• Responsible for development and tracking of KPI's for Operations 
• Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional associations
• Contribute to that operations sections of the Neptune Energy Management Systems is updated, in compliance with requirements and correctly aligned with other section's processes
• Be familiar with use of the Gjøa Condition Monitoring systems and provide support to operations & maintenance activities through active use of the systems
• Establish, update and follow up operational procedures and SO books
• The job undertakes specified  technical/support tasks of varying complexity to support professional colleagues in the implementation of business processes, projects, analysis and resolution of issues and problems
• Selects and uses appropriate procedures/equipment/techniques to analyse and interpret data and produce required technical outputs/reports
• Provides technical information, interpretation and opinions
• The job performs independent subtasks with procedural guidance throughout the process
• Provides technical information, outputs and reports used in Peer reviews
• The job typically requires industry knowledge and experience  
• Follow up day to day production in close cooperation with CCR and OMTL. Being the onshore contact point for CCR in operational matters
•  Conduct short and long range operations studies and make recommendations
• Assist in operational follow up and problem solving regarding the Gjøa process simulator
• Use simulation tools as a means to perform operation checks (f ex procedures)
• Support Vega-, Nova-, Fenja- and Duva Operations (as well as potential future tie-backs and/or other Operated Assets) according to agreements and established interface manuals

• Higher university degree. In special cases relevant work experience may compensate for limited formal education
• Typically a minimum of 2 years work experience from related area and is the first level progression for incumbents with degree and one to two years of experience
• Requires understanding and efficient application of technical terminology and principles relevant to the discipline
• The job requires having communication skills to find and require information, and provide technical knowledge and rational arguments for action
• Fluent in English (oral and written) and preferably Norwegian language skills
