The Senior Database Administrator is responsible for participating and/or leading projects related to the design, development, installation, upgrades and integration with Enterprise Applications. This is a senior level position responsible for the support, maintenance and troubleshooting of complex integrations and applications. Position contributes to and ensures full compliance to ITS standards, procedures and best practices.

We need your help with improving our monitoring solution and SLA reporting. You´ll be responsible for maintaining our data and quality standards and building trust between IT Infrastructure department and its stakeholders, maintaining both quality and speed of our deliveries.

English is our common language; therefore, it is important that your English is fluent both spoken and written. Do you speak Norwegian as well? Great!

Key Responsibilities:

• Develops, documents, communicates, and enforces database standards, policies, and procedures for standardizing database assets.

• Designs and builds new database solutions based on requirements from project initiatives.

• Implements data models and database designs into databases.

• Performs root cause analysis, resolves problems and recommends solutions.

• Identifies and recommends preventative database maintenance to provide availability capacity, integrity, and security against operating level agreements.

• Establishes guidelines and standards for capacity management review and establishes standards for database operations.

• Monitors and plans capacity of all databases to plan for future growth.

• Analyzes and optimizes database performance.

• Provides input into business continuity planning for operations teams and establishes SLA's for MTTR, RTO and RPO.

Qualifications:

• Working experience with MS SQL, or Oracle and Postgres DB

• Working experience in installing, configuring, administering, and tuning database technologies.

• Working experience writing PL/SQL triggers and/or procedures.

• Working experience with configuring and managing advanced queues.

• Working experience configuring and managing replication.

• Working experience with stored procedures, triggers, functions, packages, partitioning, streams and indexes.

• Experience leading other DBAs and working cross-functionally.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science degree or related field or equivalent combination of industry related professional experience and education.

• Working experience with UNIX and shell scripts.

• 5-8 years of experience.
