We are looking for a new HR Manager to cover maternity leave

 We are looking for a HR generalist for an initial 12 month contract (to cover maternity leave) in our office in Oslo (currently working remotely) where we have approximately 40 colleagues. As HR generalist you will be the advisor for all human capital matters related to Mercer in Norway, from talent management to payroll. You will work closely with the local leadership team and work on attracting, developing and retaining talent. You will be part of our regional Europe HR team and report to the HR Leader for Europe.

 You will also provide generalist, administration/contracts and payroll support to our sister company, Marsh. Marsh is a global leader in insurance broking and risk management and has around 100 colleagues in Norway.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

·        As a partner of the business and functions, contribute to the execution of the business plan and people strategy

·        Manage and coordinate recruitment processes

·        Have the opportunity to act as a project member with the business and work across Mercer in versatile projects

·        Support the execution of local Employee Engagement plans, and Health and Wellbeing plans and other change initiatives

·        Drive and manage the annual performance management and compensation process

·        Provide employee relations support and advise managers and employees on corporate policy and practice and make sure it is aligned with local legislation for both companies

·        Act super user in Workday (HR system) and any other related HR systems for both companies

·        Ensure efficient management of all HR transactions and manage the relationship with our external payroll provider

·        Reporting responsibilities to HR in Europe and country CEO

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

·        Preferably 2-3 years of experience in a similar role ideally including payroll

·        University degree required, specialization within HR preferred

·        Proficient in Norwegian and English

·        Proficiency in Microsoft Office

·        Numerical and analytical skills
