Job Description:

  • Planning of all subsea intervention by means of RLWI – across operated subsea fields
  • Planning of intervention, i.e. WL and coil-hose, on dry wellheads , both standalone on XT and in the completion phase
  • Advise on and support planning and method selection for interventions associated to subsea completion operations
  • Primarily intervention scope is limited to WL and coil-hose. Under special circumstances Coiled Tubing may be put in portfolio
  • Pencil the activity programs and accommodate approval processes
  • Produce intervention programs, relevant DOPs, HAZOP/risk assessments, budget cost estimates, AFE’s, decision support packages, and final reporting
  • Produce cost estimates at different refinement steps in the planning process. Interact with client (typically subsurface or operations) at all stages of planning process
  • Ensure alignment towards BMS planning steps and relevant standards during planning and execution
  • Ensure alignment across intervention strategies between operated field
  • Ensure lessons learned are incorporated into the job planning and capture learnings from monitored wells
  • Involve operation and subsea departments on issues that pertains to accessing subsea wells, subsea controls, SPS interface issues, vessel interface and host interface issues
  • Liase with principal contractors in all stages of the planning and execution. Provide technical advise and support to contractors and staff during execution
  • Cooperate with Lead Engineers for well projects ensuring optimum intervention solutions according to project needs and goals
  • Advisor to Engineering Manager optimising intervention activities and communicate relevant risk and opportunities to D&W Management
  • Take part in all risk assessments and method selections regarding intervention, including intervention associated with completions
  • Work out MOCs and deviations as and when required
  • Offshore work and follow up as required
  • Well handover and LCI follow-up when an as required, i.e. updating handover dossiers and well files post intervention. Produce end of operations reports
  • Reporting to Lead Completion Engineer
  • Ensure that well interventions are carried out in accordance with objectives set out for safety and environmental performance
  • Monitor and report operational performance
  • Contribute to improve WDNO management processes and guidelines/procedures for well operations
  • Provide technical input to and evaluation of tenders and contracts as required
  • Active mentor for junior professionals
  • QA&QC of supplier’s services, studies and equipment deliveries, including audits and investigations
  • Participate in relevant QPRs
  • Make sure relevant omnisafe reports being closed out by WD and contractors
  • Committed to Company`s HSE policy and principles and demonstrate a high level of HSE awareness
  • Act in accordance with Company ethical guidelines and code of conduct

Qualification Requirements:

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering or other relevant education.
  • Valid offshore certificates & course
  • Valid Well control certificates (IADC / IWCF) for well interventions - Level 4
  • Minimum 10 years experience in Subsea intervention operations and LWI experience
  • Creative, open, responsible and self-motivated.
  • Extensive drilling/wells and commercial skills
  • Good communicating skills, able to interface with multi-&-cross - disciplinary teams
  • Fluent in English (oral and written).
