We are seeking an experienced Project Planner within our business area Andøya Space Orbital for three years engagement. This is a key role to plan and co-ordinate development and construction tasks within the Build a Spaceport (BaS) project.

The successful applicant will report to the project manager for BaS. He or she will need to rapidly develop an appreciation of the project and have the capability and initiative to work independently but must have good teamworking and communication skills. The role demands a well-structured approach to planning complex tasks, the ability to establish clear milestones, assign resources and monitor progress. It demands a balance of flexibility, efficiency and attention to detail within an ambitious project.

Working tasks / responsibilities

Establish a detailed and costed plan for the Spaceport design and construction establishing clear milestones
Track progress, monitor resources and expenditure and identify challenges
Be on top of the overall quality assurance procedures and risk assessments within the project
Monitor key deliverables and raise early alerts of problem areas
Support continuous improvement in the use of project management systems and processes
Support project reporting to the Project Steering Group and the Board of Directors.

Qualification / Education

A relevant higher education qualification or evidence of experience in a similar role
Minimum 5 years experience in a project planning role
Experience from the building of developments project will be emphasized
Proficient in written and verbal English and Norwegian
Proficient in the use of office IT for document production, reporting, communication
Experienced user of MS Project
The candidate must be eligible for a Norwegian security clearance.

The position is located at Andøya in an international working environment. Pay will be negotiated upon hire, good pensions and welfare schemes, good staff insurance and social benefits. Working hours are flexible. We cover expences related to moving costs.
