From critically acclaimed The Longest Journey and the very first sci-fi MMO Anarchy Online, to brutal survival in Conan Exiles, our 27-year history has set us uniquely up for a journey to the harsh planet of Dune.
Our studio in Oslo is now looking for a Junior QA tester to work with our Tech team to test features and changes before they are pushed to the dev team, as well as help reproduce tricky issues across multiple platforms.
This is a perfect position for junior candidates that want to start a career in games, and where you will see a steep growth into the position with the guidance of the rest of the team. In this position, you will be asked to test new content and modifications done by the core technology teams as well as occasionally the game teams and verify that it works as intended. In addition, you will assist the teams with debugging and profiling tasks. You will also collaborate with the game development teams to write and set up automated tests of game features in Unreal Engine 4.
As a Tech QA tester, you will be expected to be able to handle multiple tasks at the same time, as well as being able to cooperate in multidisciplinary teams. Communication and cooperation are key to this position, as you will need to follow-up with the tech and dev teams on the issues that need to be resolved.
• Knowledge of Unreal Engine 4 and at least surface knowledge of C++ and blueprints
• Basic programming knowledge
• Recently completed education, either in game development or programming
• Fluency in English
The successful candidate is structured and systematic, communicative, and a team player with a strong cooperative mindset. Since this position will require a fair amount of multitasking, we prefer if you are a quick thinker with an ability to change quickly between different tasks and disciplines.
We evaluate candidates on an ongoing basis and recommend candidates to apply as soon as possible! Average response time is 1 week.
English is our working and social language. Thus, we ask you to send your CV and application in English.
