Portfolio Manager - Equity Capital Markets

Norges Bank Investment Management is seeking an outstanding individual for a portfolio manager role on the Equity Capital Markets (ECM) team. The team is part of the credit and capital markets department within our Equity Strategies area. Credit and capital markets is responsible for several risk mandates within the fund's large equity and credit portfolio. The department manages the internal ECM process and invests in follow-ons and IPOs globally.
Our portfolio managers invest their portfolios with full autonomy within their investment mandates, basing their investment decisions on their own fundamental company research and analysis of transaction dynamics. The portfolio managers within ECM also help coordinate transactions across Norges Bank Investment Management when multiple portfolio managers are involved.

The position can be in either London or Oslo.

The Role
As one of our portfolio managers, you will manage a global long only equity portfolio based on equity capital markets transactions. You will build in-depth knowledge of the process and dynamics of IPOs and follow-ons. You will co-ordinate transactions by liaising with multiple internal Portfolio Managers to ensure proactive contact with investment banks and issuers to ensure efficient execution of transactions. You will contribute to the fund's market presence by establishing and maintaining the fund's relationships with multiple intermediaries and issuers across sectors and industries. You will also make an impact through generating excess return for the fund on a sustained basis.
You will work alongside talented colleagues, both on the ECM team, but also across Equities more broadly, and benefit from global industry knowledge and market experience.

Required experience
*Bachelor or Masters degree or equivalent
*Relevant experience from equity capital markets transactions and/or experience as a portfolio manager/research analyst within equities
