About the Position

Due to increased activity, we are looking for a Junior Ship Agent at our offices in Bømlo. You will be learning the many aspects of the position while working side-by-side with a local experienced mentor, supporting operations from day 1. This position is open to anyone who is excited by the prospect of working in the shipping industry, and the goal is to develop into a full Ship Agent role.

Daily Tasks

You will support operations while learning to perform the following tasks:

• Documentation and clearance of ships upon arrival and departure
• Communication with all involved parties during ships’ port calls
• Coordinating of services
• Miscellaneous administrative tasks such as invoicing for services provided

Other Job details

• Most tasks can be completed during regular work hours; however, we provide 24/7/365 service and there will be periods of higher workload as well as work during irregular times
• This position provides a unique opportunity to work with highly qualified, experienced colleagues in the shipping/logistics industry
• A training plan will be created upon hire. Responsibilities will be increased with proven competency
• Candidates with relevant and non-relevant experience who want to learn a new skill are also welcomed to apply

Desired Qualifications

• Genuine interest for shipping and knack for coordinating
• Excellent written and verbal Norwegian and English skills
• Comfortable using data as a work tool
• Driver’s license kl B is a requirement
