Hydro’s business area Energy is responsible for safe and efficient operations of our power plants in Norway, Hydro’s energy sourcing globally and developing new business ventures in renewable energy and technologies.

In an exciting period of growth, we are now looking to hire a Financial Analyst to join the Controlling & Analysis team in Energy Finance. You will play a key part by supporting business in making sound decisions related to current activities and new ventures.

Area of responsibility
As part of a team which supports Energy’s business units, you will contribute to investment projects and cases requiring in-depth financial analysis, providing management with necessary decision-making input. The projects are mainly related to opportunities within renewables and batteries but will also include hydropower. 

Specific tasks and deliveries will include:

• Build and develop financial models
• Conduct financial evaluations and profitability analysis
• Identify and communicate key findings to management
• Contribute to developing the finance modelling framework in Energy
• Cooperate with other teams and departments, e.g. financial reporting and tax

Qualifications

• Master’s degree, preferably within corporate finance/statistics 
• Strong analytical and modelling skills
• Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience from transactions and accounting/tax
• Previous experience from the power industry/renewables sector can be an advantage
• Good communication and presentation skills in English and Norwegian 
• Advance user of Excel and PowerPoint
