NES Advantage are looking for several QC Civil Inspectors on behalf of our client Kværner.

Kværner is a leading provider of engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services, and delivers offshore installations and onshore installations around the world.

This particular assignment is with the world`s first renewable energy source for offshore Oil and Gas activities.
Hywind Tampen is a floating wind power project with a capacity of 88MW, wich according to the plan will supply the field operations on Snorre and Gullfaks in the North Sea with electric power. This will be the first floating wind farm in the world to supply electricity to offshore oil and gas platforms.

It will also be the world`s largest floting offshore wind farm and an important step in the work of industrializing solutions and reducing costs associated with future offshore wind projects.

Kværner is responsible for design, construction and transportation to assembly site of the Hywind Tampen Concrete Substructure and marine
operations for installation offshore off the assembled GWT.
Construction of the 11 Hywind Tampen Concrete Substructure will be executed at Stord and at Dommersnes. The QC inspectors will report to the QC Lead and be located at the construction sites.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

Perform daily QC inspections in accordance with ITP, procedures and work instructions for civil scope (concrete production,
concrete works, reinforcement, post tensioning and formwork)
Compile inspection records and final documentation (FRB/LCI)
Monitor civil construction’s self-check performance, reporting and status
Provide input and technical documentation to NCRs
Liaison with civil construction disciplines including civil subcontractors (post tensioning and concrete supply)
Identify critical quality issues in a proactive manner and facilitate improvements
Make a daily report including agreed KPI from the inspections and subcontractors
Issue shift reports, sign out list, assessment reports, deviation reports etc as required
Inspect concrete production, concrete placement, curing, repair as required

Qualifications / Personal Attributes:

Demonstrate an adequate 24-7 HSE attitude
Bachelor degree
Concrete technology course /U3
14/21 Day / Night shift work
