Responsibilities:
• Ensure the process from requisition to order placement is efficient and in compliance with the established rules, regulations and policies.
• Maintain, develop and implement improved purchasing policies and best practices and ensure compliance.
• Work closely with Hotel and Marine Operations departments, and the company vessels, to achieve common goals and objectives and provide sound procurement advice
and guidance to team members.
• Assume procurement (inventory) system management. Coordinate purchase orders for all items as requisitioned, follow-up with vendors, update prices and expected
receipt dates in system.
• Negotiate and implement strategic and innovative solutions that support aggressive improvements in supplier quality, delivery, pricing, lead-times and payment
terms.
• Assist in the evaluation and qualification of new suppliers and monitor performance on a continual basis.
• Administrative responsibility in the Company’s warehousing system, including database management and educational tasks onboard.
• Oversee starting/closing balances and periodic movement analysis on all relevant inventory locations/department.
Academic and Professional Qualifications:
• Bachelor/Master’s degree in Business/Logistics/Supply Chain Management
• Preferable 1-3 years’ work experience in similar positions
• Excellent analytical skills. Proficiency with Excel spreadsheet development and analysis.
• Strong personal interest in logistics and supply chain management
• Excellent oral and written skills in English and Norwegian is a requirement.
