Changing the future of payments takes strong personalities

At Nets, you’ll develop in a fast-growing tech company in a high-impact market. You’ll be leading the Digital Service Performance and Analytics team in Group eCommerce, within Merchant Services.  Our mission is to serve our high value ecommerce partners and their merchants with genuine world-class innovative, reliable and secure digital payment solutions, specializing in subscription and recurring payments services completely attuned to their specific needs.

The position can be located at our offices in Denmark, Norway, Finland or Sweden, as you will lead a distributed team.

You’ll be powering Digital Services

As the Performance and Analytics Director, you’ll have an unique opportunity to join the senior leadership team of the Digital Services business unit. You will work closely with the Digital Services CEO to define and drive the financial and performance strategy and direction of this ultra-high growth area of Merchant Services, ensuring P&L targets are achieved.

This includes leading both the backward- and forward-looking performance data, providing specialist analysis to improve and enhance business performance, and driving the smart use of data analytics into the payment services offered. You will own the end-to-end analytics infrastructure to monitor the commercial performance of the business unit, working hand in hand with the Commercial Director, as well as being a driving force for best in class analytics practice to externalise data to customers.

This is a leadership role, a problem-solving position, and one with a mandate to create value and innovate. The role will also be integral to manage and maintain the smooth operations of a very small but highly skilled and experienced Digital Services team. No two days are likely to be the same, and so the candidate should be extremely skilled at managing multiple (often conflicting) priorities at the same time.

Your key tasks and responsibilities are:

  • Strategy execution:  Accountable for detailing goals and objectives to ensure success of the defined high-level strategy of the Digital Services business unit, and executing against those.
  • Financial and Commercial analytics: Build a small analytics function and capability to enhance the use of data, both internally and externally to customers, to drive improved commercial and operational performance.
  • Reporting: Ensure all the reporting needs and requirements of the business unit are met, including stakeholder engagement and reporting.
  • Financial management: Ensure the accurate measurement and achievement of the Digital Services P&L, working hand in hand with the finance controlling teams and accounting. Act as the ‘business partner’ between Finance and the business unit.
  • Operational excellence: Drive the day to day operations of the Digital Services team to ensure its smooth running.
  • Initiatives and projects: Lead ad-hoc initiatives and projects, driving execution of key business priorities, and management of investment cases and budgets to achieve the aspirations of the business unit.

Skills, ambition and that little personal twist make you succeed

Your professional skills and experience form most of your qualifications, but it’s also your personality that makes the difference at Nets. Your qualifications include:

  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in similar senior leadership roles in the sector.
  • Deep knowledge and experience of B2B ecommerce payments, card payments, alternative payment methods, gateways and PSPs.
  • Strong problem solver, and a free-minded thinker who can create new ideas. You like to think outside the box.
  • Analytical and intuitively find answers in the data.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Highly organised with the ability to juggle multiple activities.
  • Strong focus on execution and with a strong drive.
  • Ability to work independently and autonomously, and interact and operate excellently within a small team of experts distributed throughout Europe.
  • Fluent in English. Skills in other main European languages is desirable.
