Specialist Remote Control Systems

Are you familiar with power plant Remote Control systems and want to work in an international company within renewable and green power production?

Statkraft seeks a candidate with strong competence and experience within Remote Control system and especially Generation Management Systems (GMS) functionalities. This is an exiting position that provides valuable experience and possibility to influence the way Statkraft runs operation and optimum production of a large power plant portfolio.

The position is a part of the central staff unit Process Control, responsible for governance and support within process control, and reports to the head of Remote Control.

Specialist Remote Control Systems

Your role, as a part of Statkraft competence hub within control systems, will be to take part in a strong professional team with following main tasks:

• Develop and maintain requirements and guidelines for Remote Control systems and facilitate best practice
• Build and retain expertice within Generation Management Systems (GMS) functionallity
• Support to operating units in operation and maintenance of Remote Control systems
• Participate in strategic development and upgrade projects of process control systems
• Further develop market ancillary services in cooperation with Energy management and operating units

Your profile:

• M.Sc. Within process control / automation / electrotechnical systems / ICT, or B.Sc. with long relevant experience within process control systems
• 5 years of experience within hydro power plant control systems / remote control systems
• Good technical understanding of process control systems and power system market
• Fluent in Norwegian and English
• Supporting, innovative, collaborative and team oriented
• High integrity and compliant with principles and values
• Structured, able to work systematically and to deliver results
• You are flexible in terms of tasks and mobility as the role requires providing local support in country and/or at site for shorter or medium term periods as agreed

Necessary background check according to Norwegian and Swedish regulatory requirements is needed for this position.
