About Cloud & Infrastructure

Cloud and Infrastructure is responsible for delivering infrastructure services to Storebrand group. This includes the technology platform that runs Storebrands's applications and the end user platform to give all employees the tools to work, collaborate and communicate efficiently. We provide value through understanding both the technology and the applications and users that rely on our services. All infrastructure is defined through declarative code, and manual tasks are automated to the largest extent possible. All teams have a rotating on-call schedule for handling critical incidents outside business hours.

About End User Services

End User Services (EUS) team has the end users in focus – ensuring that each user has

• the ability to connect, work and collaborate from any location
• collaboration tools, video and voice services that improves productivity
• a PC environment optimized for her or his work tasks
• a simple way to order equipment and accesses through an automated process
• mobile access to all tasks (unless regulatory requirements prohibits it)
• access to support to solve issues they encounter
• call centre solution for Storebrand customer support

How services are used - defining good work practices and spreading that knowledge is an essential part of the team's work. The team therefore establishes close collaboration with the group initiatives around digital workplace and future ways of work. Their feedback combined with usage data and telemetry are used to continuously tune the services for efficiency and cost optimization. The end user services team is also responsible for end user support and the tooling it requires (issue tracking, order handling etc).

The End User Services team has a deep technical understanding and strong internal ownership of its services. But the team will also leverage 3rd parties to manage the more generic aspects of its services. New cloud tools and services are actively adopted to simplify operations and administration. Together with Security the team monitors development in the cybercrime area and implements new controls based on risk assessment. It understands regulations related to GDPR and ensuring compliance.

Main responsibilities

As Head of End User services your main responsibility is to continue developing and simplifying the end user services. You and your team will be a key contributor towards our digital vision and will collaborate closely with other parts of the organization to improve and simplify daily work and collaboration. You will build a strong team, both through training of existing resources and through recruitment. The team's success is measured by the platforms ability to support Storebrand's employees in their daily work.

Candidate profile

• Experience of DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering concepts and a drive to implement operations based on code
• Solid technical understanding of Microsoft 365, backed by certifications
• Strong communicator and network builder, with empathy for the end users and their needs
• Analytical capability to extract facts to support your arguments
• Good administrative ability – creating structures around risk, cost, and operational processes
• Ability to create a culture of constant development and learning
• Experience of leading a team going through major change
• While the official language in Storebrand Technology is English, Norwegian and Swedish are frequently spoken. Understanding these languages will be helpful.
