 Sales Director, EMEA 

 

Who we are looking for

We are looking for a strong Sales Director, with a passion for sales, video, entertainment and new technology, to help us generate new sales revenue in EMEA.  

The successful candidate will enjoy building relationships with customers including broadcasters, media companies, pay-tv operators, content distributors and producers, third party technology and service providers, rights holders and MSOs. You will exemplify Vimond’s unique culture to customer prospects and the larger marketplace, and pursue sales opportunities from lead through to contract signature.

Although the main focus is on a pure sales role, there will be some account management responsibility. These responsibilities will primarily sit with prospects in your portfolio and that are moved through the sales cycle from prospect to client.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the entire sales cycle from initial customer engagement to closed sales
  • Prospect for potential customers primarily from your own industry relationships and networking abilities
  • Set and lead face-to-face meetings with stakeholders and senior decision makers
  • Establish long-term relationships with prospective customers
  • Draft and deliver proposals working closely with solution architects and product specialists to address customer requirements and establish Vimond value
  • Secure new contracts that achieve assigned sales quotas and targets
  • Maintain a high level of relevant domain knowledge in order to have meaningful, consultative conversations with prospects
  • Work with sales management to develop and maintain sales territory plans (pipeline management)
  • Continued reporting of sales activity 
  • Accurately forecast sales and contribute to the annual budget process
  • Provide feedback to sales management on market trends, competition, pricing, strategy and ways to improve the sales process

 

  Qualifications

  • At least 5 years experience in a similar sales/business development role. 
  • Successful track record negotiating and closing institutional and/or tier 1 contracts.
  • An established network within the Broadcast/Entertainment/Publishing/Media industries
  • Understanding of, and genuine interest in, streaming technologies, OVP and software (technical background or relevant university degree is a plus)
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English (other languages are a plus). 
  • Sophisticated communication and negotiation skills including the ability to understand customers needs in a rapidly changing market.
  • A warm, extroverted, and entrepreneurial personality. You have integrity, are a self-starter, and are eager to work with people from diverse cultures and professional backgrounds
  • Ability and willingness to travel for business

More about the position

Vimond is located in Bergen, Norway. The position we seek will allow for a remote working location. A prerequisite will be close proximity to a large international airport, such as Munich, London or Madrid.
