Kongsberg Automotive is looking for competent, technically interested and enthusiastic engineers wanting to participate in the development of components for vehicles of the future. As part of the product development team, you target to develop the right product at the right price, the right function and the right quality. This is being done by teamwork in close collaboration with other company functions and the customer, and by following Knowledge Based Development (KBD) process.

Responsibilities

Willingness to take responsibility, even beyond their defined area of responsibility.
Willingness to acquire knowledge about customers and markets.
Be analytical and have good problem solving logic.
Adapt his/her behavior to International communication requirements
Read, understand and analyze the customer requirements
Develop system and sub system specification according to customer requirement
Develop simulation model in Matlab/Simulink to support requirements understanding and make possible virtual product validation
Develop control algorithm in Matlab/Simulink to be use in the product application software
Analyze product failure data acquisition in development phase to support root cause analysis, and update simulation model accordingly
Document all engineering activities in accordance to internal KBD processes.

Requirements

• Master in Cybernetics, with specialized field related to control theory, system modeling/simulation or mechatronics
• Knowledge and practical experiences of simulation tool, including Matlab/Simulink.
• Knowledge of SW programming, in C or C++.
• Knowledge of dynamic components used in mechatronic system (valve, motor, sensors, gear train, guide and bearing)
• Knowledge of quality assurance routines, especially related to product development.
• Language:
• Written and spoken English (main documentation language)
• Fluent in at least one of the following additional language:
    o Norwegian
    o German
    o French

Additional practical experience in the full product lifecycle, including new product introduction, production end of line testing and/or OEM/dealer diagnostic and support is a plus.
