Job Description

We are looking for a Junior Developer that can help us with our growing WooCommerce, WordPress (and Magento) client portfolio.

As a Junior Developer at Servebolt you will be working with development and maintenance of our internal websites, systems and applications, and helping our clients with their websites, systems and applications. You will be working alongside our existing team of developers and the support team in answering WooCommerce and Magento related questions as well as help out with migrations.

We’re looking for someone working in the CET timezone in shifts covering 8:00 to 22:00.

Location: Oslo (Norway) or remote

As Junior Developer you will:

Develop and maintain PHP and MySQL based internal applications, websites and tools
Help out onboarding new clients with their WordPress/WooCommerce and Magento to our hosting
Communicate with our clients with expert communication skills
Proactively help debug slow sites and come up with solutions
Research, troubleshoot, and identify solutions to resolve customer issues
Extend and improve our public and internal Knowledge Base based on problems solved during the day
Assist our Sales Department with customer interactions and technical solutions where needed

Experience

We believe you have the following experience:

Good knowledge about how to set up, develop, migrate and optimize WordPress and WooCommerce sites
You have experience in developing applications using PHP and MySQL/MariaDB
Experience with Magento and Cloudflare is a plus
Proficiency with Git, Rsync, SFTP and SSH protocols
Fluent in English and a Scandinavian language, bonus points if you speak additional languages
You have understand the basics of Linux, Apache and NGINX
You have experience in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, preferably from an "optimized for performance" point of view
Good understanding of browser tools and how to use them diagnose problems
