Senior Service Engineer for MHS, location Bergen

As a Service engineer employed by Palfinger Marine you will be included in a hardworking and highly competent service crew travelling to work sites worldwide. Your main tasks will mainly consist of start-up, servicing, maintenance and upgrades of deck equipment and other tailor-made products delivered to the offshore & marine industry. We are looking for a flexible and service minded person, capable of structuring and planning your own tasks at the work site and communicating with our clients. As a service engineer you will also get the opportunity to contribute to further development of high-end equipment. 

YOUR TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Commissioning and testing of deck equipment and machinery.
• Troubleshooting and servicing of deck equipment and machinery.
• Performing both scheduled and unscheduled service interventions worldwide.
• Daily reporting to service managers.
• Prepare service reports and documentation.
• Assist the service managers to plan and prepare upcoming jobs.
• Act in accordance with Service Department procedures.
• Follow up company QA and HSE policy.
• Travel estimated to 150+ days worldwide yearly.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

• Technical College graduate or higher technical education in the following categories:
• Control systems & Automation
• Hydraulic & Mechanical
• Experience with PLC programming is mandatory.
• Interdisciplinary skills is an advantage.  
• Experience from similar work is an advantage.
• Offshore experience is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Ability to fault trace and solve complex issues.
• Structured, creative and ability to multitask.
• Good English skills, both spoken and written is a requirement.
• Excellent cooperation and communication skills.
• Certificate of good conduct required.
