Communications Manager

Statkraft is Europe's largest generator of renewable energy from hydro, wind, and solar power. Our aim is to become a leading developer of onshore wind and solar projects, taking on a significantly larger number of projects than before.

The business area European Wind and Solar (E) is responsible for development and ownership of wind and solar assets in Europe. The business area is also responsible for the project execution of large projects in Statkraft, the group procurement function and development of new business opportunities.

We have high ambitions for growth in wind and solar in Europe and need a communications expert to support our business activities across Europe. You will be part of an inspired communications team, committed to a carbon-neutral future and delivering outstanding communications support to the whole business area. You will report to an Oslo based Vice President Communications.

Your role:

As our new Communications Manager your main responsibilities will be:

• Delivery of strategic and tactical comms support to the business area
• Responsible for the communications role in M&A and Integration projects in E
• Media relations activities and the spokesperson role for selected areas
• Internal communication planning and support
• Alignment of communications activities with public affairs and stakeholder engagement activities
• Tools and activities required to execute on communication plans, e.g. briefing notes, articles, presentations, press statements as well as occasional speeches

Your profile:

• 5-10 years of experience from communications work
• Proactive and solution-oriented with attention to detail a practical doer who delivers quality results on time
• Experience from managing projects across businesses and/or geographies
• University degree within a relevant field
• Strong communication, influencing and relationship building skills
• A sense of humour and the ability to handle many simultaneous tasks
• An international attitude with excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Norwegian. Proficiency in other major European languages is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of relevant digital systems and tools
