Software Architect

Elkjøp Nordic AS is looking for Software Architects to join the IT Digital Services department. IT Digital Services is where cutting edge technology is applied aggressively to ensure Elkjøp stays competitive and innovative. Here you will find business critical technical challenges to keep you interested and colleagues around you that support and challenge you to do your best!

In this job, you would;

• Work with latest .Net frameworks and Microsoft Azure technologies to build modern and highly available business critical services

• Evaluate and design future architecture and technology

• Support the continuous improvement in our existing microservices

Our Microservices are less than 3 years old and kept up to date, for instance, we are currently going back to upgrade them all to .Net Core and moving them into Containers hosted in Kubernetes. All development, integration and deployment are automated using Azure DevOps with developers following agile principles. We have over 20 highly talented developers working on our services and keep quality high by peer reviews of every pull request that goes into production.

We are looking for persons who want to work with the technology on a bigger scale. You would still write and review code but also collaborate with business to create best value for Elkjøps daily business while doing the best technical choices for the long term. We can accommodate for more junior developers interested in seeing a broader picture or more senior developers/architects who wants to just jump right into it. None of us know everything and learn from our work and others every day! The important part is an attitude and passion for learning and solving problems.
