Product Manager for Navy Vessels

ABB in Norway develop and deliver solutions for marine power, propulsion and automation systems. We are responsible for deliveries of electric propulsion, power and automation systems to various vessels within Aqua Culture, Oil and Gas, Passenger transportation, Windmill installation, Offshore construction and Navy.

ABB is looking for a dedicated Product Manager within our Navy segment, with technical product responsibility through the whole life cycle of the products. Office location will be Fornebu or Ulsteinvik.

Tasks:

• Product manager for Navy specific products
• Assisting in principle design, maintenance and life cycle of Navy products
• Responsible for product requirements.
• Participate in training of local resources (sales/engineering/commissioning).
• Technical point of contact during development, sales, project execution and service.
• Responsible for development of necessary tools to minimize workload and improve efficiency.
• Responsible for ILS (integrated logistic support) data for the Navy products
• The position will be combined with, but not limited to, assisting in sales work, R&D participation, and developing solution and product requirements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor or Master within Electrical Engineering and Power Electronics
• Experience and understanding of marine electrical systems
• Experience in EMI/EMC design and testing
• Understanding shock and vibrations requirements
• Understanding life cycle management
• Self-going, creative, proactive and team player
• Enjoy finding solutions to unforeseen problems
• Some travel activity may be expected.
