Mimiro is developing an open platform and products for collecting, sharing, and analyzing data to develop systems that help the farmer make better decisions in everyday farm-life. We are also creating an ecosystem for data that external suppliers can benefit from, becoming a digital arena for innovation for Norwegian agriculture. An important principle is that the farmer owns their own data. We are combining a solid knowledge of agriculture with a deep understanding of technology.

Product owners with expert competencies from agriculture are working together with leading designers and developers, to create digital solutions that are user-friendly and designed to satisfy the need of the farmer of tomorrow. Our ambition is to become world leading in agriculture when it comes to user design, cloud-based applications, Internet of Things and data safety.

Mimiro is an independent Norwegian tech-company established as a joint venture agri-

tech startup with international ambitions. To fufill our ambition of being leading in the digitalization of agriculture and becoming the farmers no. 1 data-partner, we are looking for a product designer. You will be in a unique position as the first member of our design team, working cross functionally on our products and closely with product managers and engineering. You’ll have a broad role, including a range of design tasks in UX and UI, making sure our products deliver both on user and business needs.

As we grow, you will be able to specialize and/or take on new responsibilities.

As a product designer you will be responsible for

• Understanding user needs, user research and design research
• Wireframing and prototyping (UI and UX)
• User testing and iterations
• Development planning
• Execution and analysis
• Branding and graphic development
• User guides and storylines
• Implementation of UI with engineering

We have offices at Ås in Akershus/Viken. In addition to a hub in central Oslo. Some traveling is required in this role. The role reports to the CPO.

We are looking for someone with

• A holistic mindset encompassing both user needs and business needs.
• Experience from UX and UI design, and the tasks mentioned above
• Experience working end-to-end design process
• Experience working with different digital products, web and mobile
• Preferably also knowledge of the interaction between agriculture and technology but not a requirement. However, curiosity in agri-tech is important.
• As you will be in contact with our users; the farmer, full professional or native proficiency in Norwegian will be necessary, in addition to English.
