We are looking for an Application Specialist to join our R&D team

We are now looking for a new colleague in the position of Application Specialist in our Research and Development team.

This is an opportunity for highly motivated candidates with a higher science degree (Master of Science or equivalent), laboratory experience and an interest in the diagnostic or medical device industry. The person we are looking for is accurate, systematic and is flexible regarding travel.

The Application Specialist will be a part of the R&D team and be responsible for every aspect of the internal establishment and maintenance of applications on new instruments for our existing products in addition to the external application set-up and maintenance of these products at Gentian’s business partners.

The hired candidate will also participate in:

• Assigned product development projects and work within the verification and validation phases of new product developments
• The candidate will also take part in the investigation of potential customer complaints or other tasks within the department’s responsibilities.

Preferred qualifications and skills:

• Higher degree in science/technology (M.Sc. or equivalent)
• 3-5 years of analytical laboratory experience and experience with analytical instrumentations within the IVD industry
• Experience with immunoassays and clinical chemistry analysers will be an advantage
• Skilled in statistics or mathematics
• Software: MS Office Excel and Word, Statistical tools: Analyse-It for Excel, etc.
• Language skills: fluent English is required as English is the official company language. Able to communicate in Norwegian is an advantage but not a requirement
