Senior Power Market Analyst and Power Market Analyst

SKM Market Predictor is expanding its strong analytical team and is looking for both a senior analyst and an analyst for the Nordic/European Power market. Location is the company’s Trondheim office.

Responsibilities:

• Operate complex fundamental models in our running analysing service for the Nordic and European electricity markets
• Participate in the production of long-term forecasts and advisory projects
• Closely follow and have an overview of all changing market conditions
• Direct customer support in daily operations
• Work with the team to develop our service for new target areas

Your profile:

• University degree, with some years experience in power industry, energy or similar specialization
• Strong analytical skills and ability to handle complex analysis

It is preferable with:

• In-depth understanding of the European or Nordic power sector
• Understanding of the fundamental market drivers in commodity markets and/or hydrology
• Experience with operation of the long-term models e.g. EMPS, Plexus, BID3
• Knowledge of Python or Matlab programming language
• Ability to work both in teams and independently
• Good communication and presentation skills in English and Scandinavian language
