About the Unit

The Corporate Communications team is part of Yara’s Strategy & Communications department, with the global responsibility for Yara International’s external and internal communications. Since 1905, Yara has contributed to responsibly feed the world and protect the planet. Our products and solutions are sold in 160 countries, helping to secure enough food while reducing environmental impact.  

We are looking for an Intranet Product Owner & Administrator for our internal communications platform Pulse. The role will be instrumental in migrating the intranet from server-based SharePoint to SharePoint Online and improving the structure, content governance, and business outcomes. As the product owner you will work closely with the Communications team, agile squads in IT teams and the rest of the business. We are seeking a person who combines knowledge and passion for cloud-based intranet, specifically SharePoint Online, with understanding of strong and aligned internal communications.  

You will be working in a truly international and high-paced business environment at Yara’s headquarters in Skøyen, Oslo. The product owner & administrator will report to the VP Corporate Communications and belong to a team of Communications professionals. Responsibilities:
 
  • Set ambition and establish governance for Yara’s global intranet platform, so it brings maximum business value in line with corporate strategy 
  • Intranet community administration and support: Create sites, manage permissions, train and support users.  
  • Collaborate with Yara’s worldwide editorial network 
  • Responsible for intranet feature & functionality roadmap  
  • Partner with agile squads in IT and business (i.e. Value Owners, Scrum Master, Developers, end-user community) prioritizing needs  
  • Roll-out of new functionalities, user acceptance testing and follow-up bug-fixing  
  • Maintain global navigation 

Profile:
 
  • Experience administrating an intranet; preferably SharePoint Online 
  • A minimum of 4-5 years’ experience in product management and solutions development   
  • Knowledge of agile methodology and project management 
  • Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, work independently in a structured manner. 
  • Strong collaboration and people skills 
  • Excellent verbal and written English (corporate language)  
  • Bachelor’s degree required; higher degree preferred.
