Data Engineer

Right now, we are looking for data engineers to our Data Consolidation team in Oslo. 

I am Michael Hansen and I am leading this great team currently consisting of 9 data engineers.

Your next challenge? 

We are on a journey of digital transformation where we focus on continuous development of our solid digital solutions in both business and private markets. 

You will be a member of the Data Consolidation Team, one of three teams in our Analytics department. The other teams being Insight Operation and Insight and Data Science.

The main responsibility of the Data Consolidation team is the development of new data-pipelines in our current hybrid platform. We are responsible for the development standards and that we are aligned as a group of data engineers. Working as a data engineer in Telia involves getting the requirements right, challenge ideas and to be an advisor, creating solution designs, implementing robust maintainable solutions and to know our data and business processes.     

In our daily work we are organized as part of cross-functional agile teams supporting business strategies within a business domain. You will thus be collaborating closely with business stakeholders, data scientists, front-end developers and your data engineering colleagues.

Who are you?

• Problem solver 

Your Experience: 

• Min. 7 years of experience as data engineer or software engineer  

• Experienced and strong coder (eg. Python, PySpark, SQL) 

• Experienced and strong data modeler and solution designer 

• Solid knowledge of cloud technologies and services (eg. AWS, PaaS, SaaS) 

• Knowledge of data warehouse and data lake principles.  

• Experience with agile way of working (eg. CI/CD and DevOps) 

• Fluent in English or Norwegian (spoken and written)
