We are looking for a technical specialist with high competence in Recirculating Aquaculture Systems

We are building a new technological production department to cover areas such as sustainability, R&D and fish health/welfare, as well as activities within feed and procurement. The department will also be responsible for the functional networks Freshwater, Seawater, Primary Processing, Sustainability, Fish Health, Feed, Procurement, and QA. The department will work with new technological solutions to reduce our footprint, improve fish health and automate production efficiency in fish farming. To accomplish our goals, Grieg Seafood must strengthen the organization with new competence.

We are looking for a technical specialist with high competence in Recirculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS) to be a part of our new technological production department. Our RAS specialist will be part of the R&D-team, working on improving our projects within the growing RAS segment. This includes planning, evaluation, design, engineering and project management of RAS for Grieg Seafood´s RAS Facilities in the different regions.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Market analysis of RAS and being updated on what is going on in the RAS-research
• Developing technical services for RAS segment
• Ensure implementation of technical aspects related to RAS
• Work closely with R&D to ensure relevant product development within the RAS-segment
• Manage the Freshwater network in the Group

Relevant candidates have higher education in aquaculture, fish biology or other relevant fields. You have experience as business developer and/or specialist within aquaculture, Freshwater operation and/or RAS. High competence in RAS and a clear ability to develop and deliver clear and effective technical presentations will be crucial. Experience as RAS operator, project engineer or building supervisor is highly relevant.

Our RAS specialist is a team player who can work on multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment. You are structured and process-oriented and take initiative to find new innovative solutions. The role will be central in contributing to innovative solutions to make the company relevant in the future. RAS specialist will be located at the Head Office in Bergen.
