Höegh Autoliners is a global leader in Ro/Ro deep sea transportation services. The company owns and operates approx. 50 Pure Car and Truck Carriers (PCTCs) in global trade systems, making around 3 000 port calls yearly. Managed from a worldwide network of around 20 offices, our main customers are major manufacturers of new cars, heavy machinery and other rolling stock. Höegh Autoliners is also a leading carrier of second-hand vehicles.

You will be heading a team responsible for building and maintaining critical IT based services, day-to-day operations as well as active participation in projects where applications are being developed for the private and public clouds. You will be a key contributor in the digitalization of business-critical processes at Höegh Autoliners

Main Responsibilities

• Continue to coach and manage the team as well as its interaction with stakeholders and colleagues.
• Manage budgets and costs, recruitment and other administrative related activities
• The role needs to actively contribute, build and follow through business cases for potential projects and change initiatives
• Project management of key strategic projects in the coming 3-5 years
• Create strategic IT roadmaps and implement the portfolio of systems assigned to the team
• Assessing current technologies together with the team and following development of new technologies
• Process improvement and benchmarking against industry standards and best practices
• Implementation of improvement projects to achieve higher efficiencies and levels of quality
• Application management of software in the team’s portfolio.
• Quality management through process improvement and establishment of key metrics
• Vendor management and stakeholder management

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor or master’s degree in computer science or equivalent technical qualification
• 5-10 years’ experience managing development teams
• Certification/education in agile project management techniques is an advantage.
• Experience in implementing Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment in development teams
• Experience implementing and using the Atlassian stack of tools or equivalent
• Strong team player, with project leader capabilities
• Excellent communication skills in an international environment
• Analytical, structured and solutions oriented
• Good understanding of the benefits of automation and good coding practices
