Material Officers - Leonardo Helicopters - Norway Branch (Base Sola)

Job Description

Leonardo Helicopters UK Ltd (LUKL) have a contract with the Norwegian Ministry of Justice and Public Security for the new AW101 Norwegian All Weather Search and Rescue Helicopter (NAWSARH). As part of this program, the company have established a multi-discipline in-country liaison team.

The in-country liaison team is headed up by the Key Account Manager (KAM) and is responsible for the coordination and delivery of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) elements on behalf of the company to ensure Search and Rescue (SAR) Helicopter availability.

We are looking for Material Officers at our Sola base and Banak base, one Material Officer at each location. You will be accountable to the Norway Material Manager.

Key responsibilities:

Coordination of material demands and supply to the Ministry and LUKL personnel.

Receiving serviceable and unserviceable material for further processing.

Performing periodic stock check to maintain the accuracy of the stock information.

Understanding operational needs and coordinating the material requirements within LUKL.

Liaison with the LUKL Material Planner to ensure maintenance kits are available and meet the necessary key performance indicators.

Participation in the out-of-hours service roster for Material Officers.

Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience.

Remain flexible and responsive to short notice customer requirements.

Be self-motivated and able to work on own initiative as well as within larger teams.

Possess good communication skills.

Confidently handle challenging conversations. Listen, understand and respect different views and ways of working.

IT literate with all basic desktop applications and company standard software.

Integrity and professional approach.

Possess business and commercial awareness.

Training:

A period of training at the company’s facilities in Yeovil (UK) and on the job experience at one of the bases in Norway. The duration of this training will depend on the qualifications of the successful candidate.
