3D visualisation expert

Sopra Steria, located in Oslo, has one of Europe's strongest Mixed Reality teams, and has been certified a Mixed Reality Partner with Microsoft because of our HoloLens expertise. We develop Mixed Reality solutions for customers across many different industries. If you'd like the opportunity to work with the latest, coolest technology, and work on projects more cutting edge than standard application development, then this position is for you.

We have a number of initiatives within Mixed Reality and Virtual Reality. Our main initiative is HoloCare. This is a collaboration project with Oslo University Hospital, Rikshospitalet, where we are working with medical experts at the hospital to develop HoloLens solutions for medical use. These applications allow planning and carrying out of surgical procedures using Mixed Reality, where we use 3D medical images to give the surgeon a better understanding of how an individual patient should be treated.

Other projects involve using Mixed Reality for guidance and training within industry, where technicians use HoloLens for maintaining and operating technical equipment. We are also using Mixed Reality and Virtual Reality for projects in the building and construction industries, thus making it possible to examine building models "for real" during the planning phase.

Who are you then?
You enjoy professional challenges and want to be involved in creating something that makes a positive difference to our customers. You like to juggle a lot of challenges, while at the same time, immersing yourself in specific tasks. You are keen to identify the customer's needs and also to design and create prototypes of solutions for tomorrow. You are, simply put, a talented systems developer who likes to keep yourself up to date professionally and also explore and identify the potential in new technology. You have a strong interest in agile development and know how to develop cloud computing solutions with platforms such as Microsoft Azure. You have relevant work experience, minimum five years experience as a developer and higher education in computer science or engineering.
 

Key abilities:

• Minimum five years experience as a developer
• Proficient in Microsoft .NET development with C#  
• Experience with simple 3D visualisation and a mathematical understanding of 3D coordinate systems
• Knowledge of Unity 3D programming/scripting or similar game/graphics engines   
• Experience with, or interest in, Virtual Reality/Mixed Reality/Augmented Reality   
• Experience with using shading languages such as GLSL, or similar (not essential)
