Lead Engineer - Maintenance & Modification

Are you interested in working as a Lead Engineer in a multi-disciplinary project team, within sustainable maintenance and modification?

NSG Maritime is strengthening its maintenance and modification department working mainly with Tennets HVDC platform. We focus on developing employees` initiative, increased expertise, and project development. NGS Maritime will provide maintenance and modification during the 3 year frame-contract with TenneT, who is a leading European electricity transmission system operator (TSO).

NSG Maritime AS are hiring a Lead Engineer who will be responsible for supporting the company's need for engineering activities in projects. The Lead Engineer is responsible for the engineering/technical discipline and activity within the project, and for managing and coordinating all engineering disciplines that reports to him. He/ she will be overall responsible for performance of the engineering activities within the specific project scope of work. The role reports to the Project Manager with regards to all subjects related Engineering, i addition to give technical guidance to colleagues and team members.

Key Responsibilities 

• Responsible for development of all drawings and other technical documentation (procedures, calculations etc.) required to plan - execute and report the technical part of the Project
• Feasibility/Design / Concept & Engineering  of project solutions connected to maintenance and modification work
• Plan and oversee mobilisation / demobilisation activities to the offshore installation at DolWin Alpha.
• Preparing and establishing tenders and scope of work for required sub-contracts.
• Execute projects according to HSE, cost and schedule targets.
• Responsibility to follow and maintain the company's QHSE system in the department.

Required qualifications

• A complete and formal engineering education in offshore technology/marine technology (Bachelor or Masters Degree). Long and relevant experience might compensate for less formal education.
• Minimum 5 - 8 years relevant experience in platform Maintenance and Modification work (M&M) and/or Construction activities.
