About the job:
As an Office Manager at Nordic Semiconductor, you will never be bored at work. As the manager for office and administrative support, you will be at the very heart of our organization with a wide variety of tasks and responsibilities. Together with your team members, you will manage and coordinate the overall office management agenda for Nordic’s locations in Norway (Oslo and Trondheim). You will also have a unique opportunity to further develop and shape our current processes and in parallel create value for our company as part of the wider HR-team. You will be based in Oslo, but occasional travels to Trondheim is expected.

Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Performing everyday tasks necessary for efficient running of all aspects of the Oslo office, including liaising with building administration, suppliers, vendors and other service providers  
  • Developing office procedures and policies for general office administration for Nordic as a whole and ensure effective execution of these
  • Ensuring smooth office and reception operations by performing various clerical duties 
  • Maintaining general office supplies, office furniture and other equipment 
  • Coordinating a variety of activities, including facility planning, meetings, travels, event planning and other logistics together with the team
  • Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others throughout the business
  • Together with the canteen team, contributing to ensure that snacks and beverages are available on a regular basis and that common areas are clean and presentable
  • Coordinating security badges and other security related items for Oslo in collaboration with IT
  • Leading the team of office administrative and canteen support at our locations in Norway

Qualifications and skills:
In order to be successful in this role, we believe you are a great multi-tasker with attention to detail. You have the mindset of no task being too big or too small to handle, and you are always eager to assist. You’re a quick learner who takes initiative and enjoys a fast-paced working environment where few days are predictable. As you will interact with every level of employee, you need to have strong interpersonal skills and a professional, yet service-minded demeanor. As the leader for your team across Norway, your leadership skills will be decisive. 

In short, we are looking for an Office Manager with the following qualifications and skills:

  • Relevant education, e.g. Administrative College diploma or equivalent is preferred but not necessary
  • Relevant work experience from similar responsibility area
  • Excellent written and verbal English skills
  • IT knowledge, including use of Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Independent, proactive and flexible
  •  Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Result-driven and great team management skills
  • Loyal and able to handle confidential information with absolute discretion
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable speaking to groups of people
