Vimond offers a cloud based platform for video content management and delivery, used by broadcasters, distributors and content owners around the world to efficiently manage their online OTT and live video services. In addition we have Vimond IO, a revolutionary cloud based, frame-accurate and high quality video storytelling application running in your own browser.

Chief Architect

As our Chief Architect you will be a key player in enabling Vimonds technical visions, and serve as a catalyst who creates possibilities, solves problems, and takes a holistic approach to technical and architectural challenges. Together with our Product and Sales teams, you will discover and analyze customer business and technical needs. Based on your profile, you will also have personnel responsibilities for one or more of our developer teams.

• Deep knowledge in Cloud technologies, in particular AWS and Cloud native architecture principles and patterns
• Enterprise architecture skills, such as understanding and interpretation of requirements, creation of a useful model, hereunder validation, refinement and expansion of this model as well as the management of the architecture
• Micro services architecture skills, such as Domain Modelling, Devops, Containers, Security, Testing and Continuous Integration
• Proven ability to define scalable software architectures for AWS
• Team management capabilities and ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to analyse and critically assess problems

• Have the overall responsibility for ensuring that architectural and technical choices are aligned across the engineering teams and aligned with the general product vision and architectural principles of the company. We are open to discuss if your responsibilities should be focused on certain areas.
• Lead Vimonds vision to become stream-aligned according to the principles of Team Topologies
• Have personnel responsibilities for one or more engineering teams
• Establish and follow up Vimonds technical strategies and visions of the Product Team by initiating and/or managing technical initiatives
• Main responsible for efficient and cost efficient AWS utilization
• Help Product Managers and Tech Team Leads discover the best technical solutions.
• Lead a cross-team initiative between Operations and DevOps team, to bridge and ensure a good understanding of architectural and technical choices - and how these are operationalised
• Initiate and drive cross-platform technical initiatives
• Knowledge sharing and mentoring
• Host and participate in planning workshops with clients or potential clients
• Meet with third party vendors for integration purposes
