Are you our new Procurement Manager for Packaging?

The role 

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Packaging & Logistics team in Orkla Group Procurement (OGP). The role will report to the Head of Packaging. The team consists of 10 dedicated professionals working with strategic and sustainable procurement of packaging and logistics services. The team members are located in Malmö, Oslo and Prague, with this specific position being located in Oslo at Orkla’s newly built headquarters in Skøyen.

This Category Manager role is a key and important one within OGP and has the opportunity to work directly with many of Orkla's strongest brands and beloved products. You will in this role have a direct effect on Orkla's ability to have a sustainable and cost-efficient supply chain. You will be regarded as the champion of your category and have many contacts and stakeholders, both externally and internally.

Your main responsibility will be to create and drive the strategies for specific categories within Packaging. To support you with this, you will have both the strategic (OGP) and tactical (Business Units) dimensions of Orkla's procurement community, as well as Orkla's Supply Chain organisaton where you will find inspiring and helpful colleagues spread over Europe. You will manage complex and exciting commercial processes on the European supplier market and lead packaging projects related to cost savings, cost take out, innovation and sustainability.

Key requirements:

• Minimum 2 years experience in strategic procurement and a Master’s degree or equivalent
• Packaging industry background and/or FMCG/Retail experience is highly desirable but not essential
• Skilled in commercial procurement elements such as RFX, Negotiations and Contracting
• Excellence communication and collaboration skills in an international setting
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• To communicate effectively with your colleagues and suppliers we expect you to speak and write English fluently and preferably in addition, that you are fluent in at least one Scandinavian language.

You can expect some travel in this role, with some periods requiring more extensive travel. Travel will be primarily to Orkla's office in Malmo, to suppliers in Northern Europe, and to Orkla's factories in the Nordics, Baltics and Central/ Eastern Europe.
