Nordic Semiconductor is a leading provider of IC solutions for wireless connectivity and IoT. We currently lead the field in short range wireless with over 40% market share in Bluetooth Low Energy. In addition to strengthening our efforts in our short-range technology portfolio, we have launched a highly disruptive cellular IoT offering combining a world-class cellular modem with the very best low power. Our products enable the world of IoT, making it easy to connect just about anything.

To support our strong family of ICs, we need equally strong cross-platform SW tools. These tools shall among other things support developers to visualize connectivity, debug implementations and benchmark applications in terms of performance and energy efficiency. The recently launched nRF Connect for Desktop and nRF Connect for Mobile tool is the start of a revamp of our offering and we are looking for a strong Technical Product Manager to take ownership of these tools going forward.

In this role you will be working in Trondheim in a team of Product Managers with proximity to our R&D teams working on these tools. You will be tasked to drive an tools strategy with an overall ambition in making our SW tools easy to use and the tools of choice for developers out there.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Take ownership of the overall SW Tools strategy under the nRF Connect umbrella
• Work closely with the Product Management team to identify how our tools can best support our current and future IC offering as well as the Nordic development kits and supporting hardware
• Define tools that really excite engineers and developers about using Nordic technology
• Build a strong collateral package for broad market adoption of our tools
• Provide training material and conduct training to the Nordic sales organization and our distribution network
• Gather and analyze market intelligence to prioritize roadmap paths

The ideal candidate will have a background in embedded and IoT systems, and will bring with them the following background and qualifications:

• BS/MSC in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline
• Familiarity with embedded software development and solutions
• Understanding of cross-platform support for both desktop and mobile applications
• Customer focused with a successful track record of providing value to IoT customers
• Ability to travel worldwide
• Strong presentation and communication skills
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Ability to work well in cross-functional teams
• Effective time management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Ability to deliver without supervision
• A proactive approach to challenges with a positive attitude
