We are continually looking for the best product development talents with focus on emerging Technologies, and we now have a vacant role as Group Manager of our Software Team within our Embedded Systems Department. The Embedded Systems Department in Norway develops Control Systems, Software, Electronics and Electrical Systems for a number of applications in various market segments. We are currently working on Electrification, Autonomous Solutions, Connected Products and Digitalization for Norwegian and International customers within a wide range of industries.

Your role

As a manager, you are expected to build an effective and diverse team. You will ensure a sustainable future for the team, by helping our employees develop their hard and soft skills. The team will be comprised of 10-15 software and control systems engineers.
You will be responsible to ensure the quality of our delivery and RFQ handling, helping our customers to define the needs and budgets. You will contribute to and play an important part in setting up and executing our strategic plans and initiate process improvements
You will be reporting to our Area Manager within Embedded.

It is an advantage if you have some years of management experience in an engineering environment.  Ability to self-reflect, and a person who has the ability to build an effective team and develop People.  You can balance active listening with the capability to convince people towards a common goal.  You are analytically and verbally able to communicate with various stakeholders in the organization.

Qualifications

BsC or MsC degree, preferably in Software Engineering
Hands on programming in C++, candidates with other object oriented programming languages will also be considered
Experience in software modelling and architecture design 
Software verification and continous integration
