Mowi Fish Feed is one of the newest divisions within Mowi. Having started manufacturing in June 2014 in Norway, Mowi Fish Feed quickly established itself as a competitive supplier of salmon feed playing a key role in supporting Mowi Farming Operations in its delivery of high quality, nutritious, safe and profitable salmon. 

In May 2019, a second fish feed plant situated in the UK started production. Located at Kyleakin, on the Isle of Skye in Scotland, the plant manufactures a broad portfolio of conventional and organic feeds for both fresh and seawater phases of salmon growth in Scotland, Ireland, Faeroes and Norway. 

We are seeking a structured and highly motivated logistics coordinator, to ensure all materials and plans are in place to keep production running in the most cost effective and efficient ways as well as ensuring all outgoing orders are met on time in full. 

Role and Responsibilities:

• In cooperation with your team you will be responsible for cost-effective utilization of our feed vessels, delivery planning, route planning and cost control, as well as responsibility for receiving and efficiently plan the storage of raw materials for feed production.
• Responsible for the short-term, week-by-week, production-planning. 
• Maintaining a strategic view of the long term goals of the feed factory
• Responsible for the continuous development of processes.
• The role will work closely with the planning, process and logistics teams, working as a liaison between the two areas. 
• You will also be expected to deputise for colleagues in the department when the business requires.

Qualifications/Skills:

• Qualified ideally a masters level within process engineering, food manufacture and/or ability to demonstrate experience in a similar role.
• Previous experience from complex production or manufacturing organisations is an advantage.
• An organised and systematic approach to problem solving
• Experience with M3 and ESC or similar systems is preferable.
• Proactive approach to the role and committed to continuous improvement.
• Ability to handle unexpected challenges.
• Excellent command of English is required as well as the ability to quickly build relationships with colleagues.
• With entrepreneurial spirit you will further improve our working methods and tools.
