Are you systematic, analytic and understand statistical techniques? Are you interested in learning about the drivers that quantify capital charges for the different risks within Gard?
Then we are looking for you!
Gard is one of two insurance companies in Norway with a partial approved internal model for calculation of solvency capital. We are now looking for a candidate to fill a position as business analyst in the Actuary and Risk Capital team.
The team analyze and quantify the different drivers of risk within Gard, and is responsible for updating, developing and maintaining the governance of the internal risk model.
You will get a unique understanding of the marine insurance business and learn about a variety of risk management topics and techniques in a global, market leading, organization.
- The successful candidate will have a degree in a quantitative field such as mathematics, statistics, finance, economics, or physics
- Ability to analyse, document, structure, coordinate and organize tasks in a busy environment and to work independently
- Excellent skills using Microsoft Office applications, focusing on Excel
- Knowledge of database technology such as Microsoft SQL would be an advantage
- Experience with mathematical or statistical software, such as MatLab or R
- Knowledge of Remetrica can be an advantage
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to perform and contribute in a team-oriented work environment
- Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with both colleagues and customers
- Excellent written and spoken English
